Spoiler Shield: how we keep the score hidden
The three things that stop a result from slipping out.
No score anywhere
SpoilSports never shows the score, the scorers, the cards or the result. Match titles are always Team v Team, and thumbnails are our own branded image, never the broadcaster's.
The shield
The Spoiler Shield loads the YouTube player off-screen and keeps it muted until you press play. That gives the title a few seconds to settle so it is less likely to flash the result.
One rule for you
Do not hover over the player until you need the controls. The official player can still show a title or a comment, and that is the one thing we cannot control.
